News: Orient x Peanuts 75th Anniversary Watches With Snoopy And Woodstock

Just a few weeks ago, I shared the new Orient Bambino watches featuring the vintage logo that the brand released for its 75th anniversary. Now the celebration continues with a series of new Orient X Peanuts collaboration watches that are sure to delight fans everywhere. Where the initial 75th anniversary batch was largely limited to the Bambino collection, the four new Peanuts watches featuring Snoopy and Woodstock (not to mention the vintage brand logo) range from Bambino to Mako to an openworked model that redeems the oft-maligned style through sheer whimsy.

Let’s start with the two 38mm Bambino models, which have the vintage-script Orient logo up top and the figures of Snoopy and Woodstock at 6 o’clock. I don’t think I’ll be alone in loving the fact that the first of the month on the date window is an image of Woodstock. There are two dial-color variants — Ref. RA-AC0M16S in a white dial, which is limited to 7,650 pieces; and Ref. RA-AC0M17G, coming in a warm cream, almost beige dial, which is limited to 2,900 pieces. These cases measure 38.4mm wide and 12.5mm thick, with a 44mm lug-to-lug height. On the caseback there is an embossed Peanuts design, beneath which you can see the in-house Caliber F6724 with 40-hour power reserve. These are priced at ¥53,900, or approximately $350.

Next up is the 40mm Mako Diver, which only comes in a white-dial Ref. RA-AC0Q08S and which is limited to 3,650 pieces. This model also has Woodstock on the first of the month as well as the pair hanging out at 6 o’clock. The case here measures 39.9mm wide and 12.8mm thick with a lug-to-lug height of 46.5mm (200 meters of water resistance). The enclosed caseback in engraved with the 75th anniversary logo, beneath which is the Caliber F6722 movement with 40-hour power reserve. These are priced at ¥56,100, which roughly comes out to $365.

Finally, we have the open-heart-dial model, Ref. RA-AR0011S, with Woodstock and Snoopy on the semi-overlapping seconds subdial, which is limited to 1,800 pieces. These come in a case measuring 40.8mm wide and 10.8mm thick with a lug-to-lug height of 48mm. Again, there is the embossed 75th anniversary logo on the caseback and the F6S22 caliber has a 40-hour power reserve. These are priced at ¥59,400, or roughly equivalent to $390.
