Nivada Grenchen

Founded in 1926, Nivada Grenchen, distributed in the U.S. by Croton Company, is known for pioneering automatic watches. Their notable models include the Antarctic (1950), worn by the US Navy’s Deep Freeze 1 task force, the Chronomaster (1961), and the Depthomatic (1964), the first diver's watch with a depth indicator. The Depthmaster (1965) could withstand pressures up to 100 ATM.
